4th Generation is Installed at Lodge Unity No. 60

Lodge Nowra Unity No.60 held their annual installation and investiture of officers on Saturday 24th June 2023. Bro David Baker was Installed as Worshipful Master of the Lodge by his Father VW Bro Mark Baker.

To mark the occasion The Most Worshipful Grand Master of NSW and ACT, MW Bro Lesley Norman Hicks and the Ceremonial team were in attendance. The 85+ Brethren in attendance experienced an investiture of all elected members in the Lodge which included a complete contingent of Master Masons in their progressive offices.

"To be installed by my father into The Chair of K.S., was an experience that is hard to describe in words. It was an extremely proud, emotional and humbling evening for both of us", Wor Bro David Baker stated afterwards.  

The four generations of the Baker Freemasons are -

Charles Nathan Baker initiated during 1930's at The Carnarvon Lodge #172

2nd Gen Hubert Arthur Baker Initiated in 1952 at The Carnarvon Lodge #172

3rd Gen, Roderick Mark Baker, Initiated in 1967 at The Carnarvon Lodge #172 and also a member of Lodge Nowra Unity #60

4th Gen, David Mark Baker, Initiated in 2011 at Lodge Nowra Unity #60 and also a member of The Carnarvon Lodge #172 and now WM

Following the Ceremony, Brethren joined Ladies and Guests at the installation banquet at Nowra Golf Club with 98 in attendance, raffles were conducted with one major prise being a 2-night stay at Bangalay Luxury Villas in Shoalhaven Heads. A total of $4,100.00 was raised with this raffle, with all money raised being donated to a local school which assists disabled children in North Nowra.
