Charity That Multiplies Its Impact
17 September 25
Lodge Cessnock, led by Worshipful Master W Bro Adam Kiefel, together with the District Grand Inspector of Workings, VW Bro Darryl Wade and brethren, proudly presented a $7,000 donation to the Cessnock Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA). The cheque was gratefully accepted by Vicky West, Operator, and Paul Hampton, Captain, of the VRA.
This outstanding result was made possible through the generosity of many:
🔹 $4,000 raised through community raffles at The Australia Hotel
🔹 $3,000 contributed by Masonicare, the official charity of Freemasons NSW & ACT
Masonicare’s support came through the interACTION Grants program, which is designed to encourage and strengthen fundraising efforts across NSW and the ACT. Once Lodges complete their fundraising, the program provides additional financial assistance that further enhances the total amount donated to local charities. This approach ensures that community contributions go even further, amplifying the positive impact of every initiative.
The VRA is a leading volunteer-based organisation providing critical emergency rescue services across NSW, 24/7, 365 days a year. With over 50 specialist units, VRA members respond to road crashes, land and vertical rescues, cave and ski emergencies, and play a vital role in community safety and emergency management.
W Bro Adam Kiefel -"Together, we are empowering the VRA in their courageous mission to protect and serve. Thanks are extended to The Australia Hotel for their support, the patrons who took part in the raffles, and Masonicare for their ongoing commitment to helping local Freemasons support vital services in their communities."
