Farewell and welcome...

06 July 26

At the March Grand Communication I was privileged to become a member of the Freemason Magazine Editorial Committee.

Recently the committee had suffered the loss of two of its senior members, both Editors, who had laid down their tools after long and faithful service. Terry McCallum and Ted Simmons will be sadly missed.

In order to see the January and April editions of Freemason published, previous Editor Richard Dawes, together with senior committee members Lynne Clay and Simon Pierce stepped in to share the workload and maintain continuity. Richard agreed to act as Interim Editor on the condition that he would relinquish this pivotal and demanding role from the July edition onwards. We are grateful for his continued sustained efforts and very pleased that he will remain a valued Editorial Committee member.

For some time two Committee members had been feeling the need to spend more of their time and energy in their paid occupations. Their resignations from the Committee were accepted with great reluctance. The talents and contributions of Owen Sandry and Max KatzBarber will be sorely missed.

However, we have been very fortunate to be able to welcome onto the Committee two very capable and talented men who will, no doubt, have much to contribute to the viability and success of Freemason. Tony Maiorana and Nate Mathein bring their unique skill sets and diversity of experiences to the Committee.

Please be reminded that ALL submissions to Freemason magazine should be sent via email to the following email address: [email protected] General enquiries to: 0456 695 600

The contribution of articles, items and photographs from you, our readership, is integral to the existence of Freemason and we look forward to a long and fruitful association in bringing it to you.

For the Editorial Committee: Lynne Clay, Simon Pierce, Richard Dawes, Derek Robson, Kim Neilson, Rick Atkinson, Peter Stoneman, Tony Maiorana and Nate Mathein.
