From EAF to WM: Cleve's Inspiring (almost) Half-Century in Freemasonry

Links to the past was an emotional and celebrated occasion
On the 2nd of September 2023, at Lodge Canberra Daylight No. 107, seen the journey to the chair of Worshipful Master completed for Bro Cleve Gabriel.
Cleve, having been initiated and becoming a Freemason in Lodge Alexandra No. 117, of Junee, N.S.W.(now closed) in 1979, was installed as Worshipful Master, in the presence of the Representative of MW Grand Master, his great mate, mentor and former Lodge Member RW Bro John Jacobson OAM OSTJ JP PDGM. And supported by 5 members of his Mother Lodge with apologies from 4 other past members, who would have been in attendance but due to ill health could not travel.
W Bro Cleve Gabriel was delighted to have former members of his mother Lodge, Lodge Alexandra No. 117 present at his installation, with some of those member undertaking roles in his installation and taking office during his Mastership.
The Installing Master, VW Bro Howard John Mackinder was floorless in his execution of installing Bro Gabriel and following the ceremony was presented with his Past Masters Collett by RW Bro John Jacobson.
Following the ceremony, 80 Brethren, ladies and guests attend the Celebratory Banquet at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, where the usual toasts were honoured and friendships of the past and presant were enjoyed.
W Bro Cleve Gabriel reflecting on his installation said "There's been some very memorable moments in my life I shall always cherish, that being marrying my beautiful wife, my children and my Installation. I look forward to continuing the great work RW Bro David Knight and VW Bro Howard Mackinder have done for our great Lodge, I am privileged to follow in their steps and be mentored by them.”
