Nowra Freemasons donate $18,000

On Friday 23rd June 2023, at Shoalhaven City Council Chambers, the Grand Master MW Bro Les Hicks and Bro David Baker, the Worshipful Master Elect of Lodge Nowra Unity No. 60, presented 3 cheques of $6,000.00 each to 3 very worthy local organisations.

- United Hospital Auxiliaries - Nowra Branch - providing much needed hospital materials that are not Government funded.

- Shoalhaven Education Fund - Supporting youth in the Nowra area by funding further educational programs.

- Shoalhaven Women's Resource Group - Providing accommodation and support for females and children leaving domestic violence situations.

All the money raised by Lodge Nowra Unity was with the assistance of Masonicare interaction grants
The WM Elect - "To be able to assist 3 local organisations with such sizable donations is a very proud moment for our Lodge" Following the cheque presentations, Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Cr Amanda Findley, hosted a Civic Reception to Welcome the MW Grand Master to Nowra and to acknowledge the local Freemasons for their hard work they have undertaken to raise much needed funds for such worth local recipients.
