Statement from the Grand Master

15 December 25

Brethren, within our wonderful organisation we have members of various faiths, culture and creed, and I wish to comment on the tragedy that took place out at Bondi yesterday.

I am deeply saddened and, indeed, outraged by this shocking premeditated violent attack on the Jewish community during their gathering for a peaceful celebration of their Rabbinic Jewish festival. The senseless loss of life and the horrific injuries inflicted are immensely heartbreaking, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and all Australians.

Brethren, as Australians I'm sure we all agree that there is no place for any kind of hatred or violence in our society, and this extreme act of brutality must be unequivocally condemned.

As a Freemason and Grand Master, I stand in solidarity with the Jewish people and all those who are affected by this senseless act of hatred and violence, and I call for unity, justice, and compassion in the face of such inhumanity.

MW Bro B Khris Albano
